The first step is to organise an initial consultation to assess the project. This can either occur in the office free of charge, or we charge an hourly rate including travel if it is requested that we meet on site. For the initial consultation you should prepare the following: 1. Existing Site & Building Plans 2. Design Brief 3. Consideration of Budget Following the initial consultation, we will supply a scope of works and fee proposal for schematic design for the project.
The schematic design is based on the scope of works document with the following deliverables: • Landscape Concept Plan, including indicative materials, planting palette & lighting design • 3D modelling to explain the concept Indicative construction cost is provided by Newforms partner company Phase3 Landscape Construction. Newforms confirm fees for design development, council submission and documentation drawings and specification upon completion of schematic design.
Newforms liaise with relevant consultants (eg. Engineers) and any elements that require Planning Approval will be undertaken during this stage. Newforms will prepare the necessary drawings for application submissions to Council. The project then needs to be developed into a final design solution with the production of detailed documentation drawings and specification suitable for tendering and construction.
